Centrifuge Mesh Types

Centrifuge meshes vary in structure and design depending on the type of centrifuge and the characteristics of the materials being processed. Based on their corresponding images, they can be classified into the following types:

Horizontal Screw Discharge Sedimentation Centrifuge Mesh

These meshes are primarily manufactured from stainless steel wedge wire or sieve cylinders and are fitted to the inner wall of the centrifuge drum. The mesh openings are fine and uniform. The cylindrical structure, along with flange or buckle components used for fixation, is clearly shown in the images. This type is commonly used in the chemical and food industries for sludge dewatering and starch separation.

Three-Legged Centrifuge Mesh

This is the most common type of centrifuge mesh. It features a circular sieve basket structure, as shown in the images. The mesh surface is woven or stamped from stainless steel wire, with reinforced edges and a supporting structure at the bottom. It is designed to fit the drum of a three-legged centrifuge and is widely used in the pharmaceutical and sugar industries for crystal screening and mother liquor filtration.

Disc Centrifuge Mesh

This type of mesh has a relatively complex structure. The images show mesh components mounted on multiple disc layers. The mesh is typically a ring-shaped, high-precision stainless steel fine mesh and is mainly used for oil–water separation in the edible oil and fat industry, as well as clarification filtration in the fruit juice industry.

Vertical Scraper Discharge Centrifuge Mesh

The mesh shown is cylindrical, with a wear-resistant surface and stable pore size. Traces of adaptation for scraper operation can be observed on the inner surface. The material is typically 316L stainless steel, making it suitable for processing high-viscosity materials, such as solid–liquid separation of mining tailings.

Stainless Steel Wedge Wire Centrifuge Mesh

This type of mesh has distinctive visual characteristics. The mesh surface is welded from wedge wires, forming uniform slots that are resistant to clogging. Its strength is significantly higher than that of ordinary woven mesh, making it suitable for high-pressure and high-load separation applications such as sewage treatment and seawater desalination.
